Prior to Dental school I earned a B.S. Mechanical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. I earned my Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from Fairleigh Dickinson University. I've been helping patients in Orleans and in the Cape Cod area achieve complete dental health since 1986.

MY APPROACH TO COMPLETE DENTAL HEALTH

According to all the dental literature, which agrees with what I see in my practice, at least four out of five people are dentally unhealthy in the sense that they have an active oral infection.  If you want to find out if you are one of the four or five, and if you want to be healthy, I can help.

I’m not a specialist.  I’m a general dentist, and I do all the dental procedures you’d expect a general dentist to do.  But I also strongly believe that a complete dentist, and a true healthcare professional, is one who not only repairs the damage caused by dental disease, but also controls the disease that’s causing the damage.  To that end I focused the good part of my continuing education on how to diagnose control is disease, and I’ve put what I’ve learned into practice.

An analogy will better explain my philosophy.  Suppose you had a doctor who stood by waiting for your arteries to clog, because all he ever did was heart bypass surgeries.  Wouldn't you prefer a doctor who knew enough to prevent them from clogging in the first place so you could avoid the bypass surgeries and the heart attacks?

ABOUT MY FREE DENTAL REPORT

VIP TREATMENT

In my practice, I am the only healthcare professional.  I see every patient for ever procedure of every type.  I am there 100% of the time for everything.  I do not relegate my patients to associates are hygienists.  This lends itself to a better continuity and communication.  Most patients would prefer to deal solely with their dentist, but in most practices this is not possible.

WHAT A NEW PATIENT SHOULD EXPECT

After an examination and any necessary x-rays, I sit down with every new patient for a consultation. In this consultation I use simple language, models, pictures, and actual objects to explain:

1. The infection and how it causes damage to our teeth, gums, and jawbone.
2. The various dental procedures used to fix the damage (fillings, bondings, crowns, bridges, root canals, dentures, implants, etc.)
3. How to control the infection that's causing the damage.

You will understand what's going on in your mouth and why, and options for correcting any problems you might have. Dentistry properly explained is fairly simple. You will finally see the forest for the trees and become an informed patient capable of making intelligent treatment choices for yourself and becoming dentally healthy for life!

We are a dental provider for Delta Dental, BC/BS, Aetna, Cigna, Guardian, Met Life and Principal. We will submit claim forms to any insurance company. Call our office administrator regarding insurance questions.
